Missed Call Text Back for Wangara Trades · WA 6065The depot is in Wangara. The customer is up Wanneroo Road.

Wangara is the industrial hub of Perth's north side, about 20 kilometres up Wanneroo Road from the CBD, and the trade businesses we looked at here are air conditioning, roofing and solar. Their units are in Wangara. Their customers are spread across the City of Wanneroo, which added almost 110,000 people in fifteen years, and the crew leaves the unit at six and does not come back past it until dark. Two of the three answer the phone on an office line, which means after half past four the number on the website rings in an empty building. We text those callers back inside a minute, from your number, and chase every quote you send.

Why this suburb specifically

The unit is in Wangara.
Nobody is in it
after half past four.

That is what we found when we looked at the trade businesses actually operating here, and it changes what we build first.

Reason one

Two of three answer on an office number

Of the three Wangara trade businesses we researched, one is air conditioning, one is roofing and one is solar, and between them they average 56 Google reviews, so these are established firms with a front office, not one-person outfits. Two of the three list an office line or a 1300 number as the way to reach them. That works at ten on a Tuesday. It does not work at seven on a Saturday in January when the ducted system has died, because the call rings in a unit on Prindiville Drive that nobody is in, and a 1300 number cannot receive a text back. The fix is a diversion rule and a mobile that can, and that is the first thing we build here.

Reason two

The customers are 200,000 people to the north

Wangara itself had 43 residents at the 2021 Census on 5.6 square kilometres: it is sheds, yards and dealerships. The customers live in the rest of the City of Wanneroo, 209,111 people at the same census and the second-largest local government population in greater Perth, up from 80,008 in 2001. New estates mean new split systems, first solar systems and first roofs; the older suburbs south of Ocean Reef Road mean replacements. Both ring the same number, and the crew is on one roof at a time.

Wanneroo Road is the spine, and the day runs north along it. Wangara sits on the east side of Wanneroo Road for about two kilometres north of Whitfords Avenue, with Gnangara Road at the southern end and the Ocean Reef Road interchange at the northern one. Ocean Reef Road runs west to Joondalup in about ten minutes and east to Ellenbrook; Wanneroo Road runs north through Wanneroo, Ashby and Tapping to Yanchep, 44 kilometres end to end. A Wangara crew can be in Joondalup by seven and Banksia Grove after lunch, and the caller in Darch who rang the office at four o'clock does not know which.
The work

What we take off
your plate.

The audit decides which of these you get and in what order. For most Wangara businesses the office-line diversion and the text-back on it do more than anything else, because the number customers find is the one nobody can answer from a roof.

We catch the calls the office misses

The office line diverts to a mobile that can text when the front desk is empty. Your crew is on a roof in Tapping and the call rings out; inside a minute the caller has a text from your business asking what they need and which suburb, so you know before you climb down whether it is Kingsley or Yanchep. How missed call text back works.

We tell a dead system from a quote

A ducted system that stopped on a 40-degree day in Madeley and a battery quote on a two-year-old house in Banksia Grove are different jobs at different speeds. The first text asks what is happening now. The breakdown gets told what to do while they wait and goes to the top of the list. The quote gets booked for a look. Your rules, set on the audit call.

We chase every quote you send

In Perth a ducted air conditioning install runs about $8,400 to $23,100, a 6.6 kW solar system $4,200 to $7,500 after the STC rebate and a single-storey re-roof $10,500 to $26,250. Those quotes get compared with two other Wangara units. We check in at day 2, day 7 and day 21 in your voice and hand you whoever replies. The sequence, with the wording.

We keep you legal on SMS

A text-back about the call they just made is a reply. A pre-summer service reminder to last year's customers in Wanneroo is marketing, and needs consent, your business named and a working unsubscribe. We build the line between the two in. The rules, in plain English.

Rough maths

Set it to a hot week.

A split system install is $1,250 to $4,725, a ducted install $8,400 to $23,100 and a 6.6 kW solar system about $4,200 to $7,500. The default sits in the middle, because the three Wangara businesses we researched are air conditioning, solar and roofing. Drag it to match yours.

How we work together

Audit, build, then
we keep running it.

Week 1

We find the leak

How calls reach you when the office is empty, and where quotes go quiet.

  • Every route an enquiry takes in, including the 1300 number
  • What last January's busiest week looked like on the phone
  • Whether your SMS setup is legal
  • A dollar figure on each hole
Week 2 · live by day 14

We build it around you

Scoped to the audit, written for your suburbs.

  • Office-line diversion to a mobile that can text
  • Breakdown-now versus quote-later rules, set by you
  • Quote follow-up in your voice
  • Wired into ServiceM8 or Simpro
Ongoing

We run it and report

The part a vendor skips.

  • Monthly: calls caught, jobs booked, what they earned
  • Wording tuned before summer, not after
  • Pre-season reminders to past customers, with consent
  • One person who knows your build
From a Wangara base

The suburbs we write
into your sequences.

When a customer texts back, the reply names their suburb and gives an honest arrival window, because Madeley is across Wanneroo Road and Yanchep on a Friday afternoon is not.

Before you book

Fair questions.

Do you actually work with Wangara businesses or just say you do?
We build for Perth trades, and Wangara is on our list because we looked at the trade businesses operating there and found something specific: of the three we researched, one is air conditioning, one roofing and one solar, two of them answer on an office line or a 1300 number, and all three are established firms with dozens of reviews. The build and support are done remotely, so your address changes the message copy and the suburbs we write into your sequences, not whether we can work with you.
Why does being in Wangara change anything?
Because the number customers find is an office number, and the office is a unit in an industrial area that empties at half past four. Wangara had 43 residents at the 2021 Census; the City of Wanneroo around it had 209,111, and grew by almost 110,000 between 2001 and 2016. The calls come from that growth, mostly outside office hours, and a 1300 number cannot even receive a text back. The first thing we build in Wangara is the diversion and the mobile that can.
Can the first text tell a breakdown from a quote?
Yes, and on a 40-degree day that is the whole point. The first text asks what is happening now. A ducted system that has stopped gets told what to do while they wait and goes to the top of your list. A quote for a new system or a battery gets booked for a look. You set the rules on the audit call, and you can change them any time.
What does an engagement cost?
Setup is $1,500, or $999 for the founding three Perth clients, and the platform is $197 a month after that. The first eight booked estimates are free. We do not quote beyond that before the audit, because we do not know what your business is leaking until we look. The audit itself costs nothing.
The audit

Half an hour, and
you will know.

We go through how enquiries reach you, how many calls ring in an empty office, and what each of those holes is worth in a year. You leave with that whether you hire us or not.
